Date: 2008 06-04Summary: eXe 1.04 Release! Project: eXe (eLearning XHTML Editor Project) The recent release of Version 1.04 of the eLearning XHTML editor is another milestone for the project. This marks a functionally complete, easy-to-use authoring tool that allows teachers and academics to put their resources online in standard formats without having to learn the details of web and package formats. We are revising the manual to include more and more tips illustrating what we think are the best ways to get the most out of eXe. And, as always, the release notes list all of the recent changes. We offer our sincere thanks to the many volunteer translators, authors, testers, and users that have contributed to the community to make eXe better. Your participation and dedicated work has been crucial to the project's success. We really enjoy working with the community. But this is not the end of the line. We've got a few ideas... And of course we will be here to support the community and to resolve issues that may come up. We hope to involve the community more and more in sustaining the support, development, and growth of eXe.
eXe (eLearning XHTML Editor Project) eXe is a simple, off-line authoring environment that enables teachers and academics to author web content without the need to become proficient in HTML or XML markup. Content generated by eXe can be used inside any Learning Management System, either as SCORM 1.2 packages, IMS Content Packages, or self-contained web sites. eXe enables users to select from predesigned instructional devices (iDevices) or create their own devices like objectives, case studies, reading activities, etc. Users can manipulate the look and feel of their published content as well as export for different display or delivery technologies. You've gotta try this development tool. The learning curve is quick & easy, and the output is great for all kinds of uses, including for novice web designers wishing to convey serious content messages. I've been using the tool for a while now and my projects are making excellent progress as I prepare them for export to one of our Moodle v1.9 learning environments. You can select the output format and more... Download and try it out, Its Free!!! And spread the word in the community!!! Every educator should know about this very useful tool, especially those working within community-based education and literacy programs...
